Danny Williams hoped no one would be able to tell that he hadn't slept the greatest last night. He couldn't help worrying about Grace, even if she was with Tess and the little blonde FBI agent he'd taken to calling Tinkerbell. Anything could happen. Anything. If vampires and things like that were real, who knew what else could be here? He didn't like thinking about it. He hadn't really wanted Grace to go at all, but she'd seemed so excited and Tess promised that she and Veronica would look out for her.
The short detective was trying his best to wrap his head around everything here. It was only six days ago that he'd woken up here, confused and though he wouldn't admit it to anyone, more than a bit scared. Six days ago, and now Grace was here too. That wasn't something Danny would have ever wanted. He was so glad to see her, but at the same time...he was extremely concerned that something could happen to her here. He knew he'd been anal and on edge since her arrival, but he just wanted to keep his little girl safe. At least he thought he knew Tess well enough so far to trust her with his daughter's well being.
He couldn't help counting down the hours before they'd go and get them in the morning. Danny knew that Tess had driven her Jeep to the vampire girl's house, but he'd picked Steve up in his Camaro and driven them over anyway. It felt a little odd to be driving his own car, while Steve rode shot gun. It was a welcome change for Danny, he considered himself to be a better driver than Steve was. They could either all go in the Camaro and pick up the Jeep later or some other option would be worked out. He just couldn't wait to see his daughter, and he was happy about seeing Tess this morning as well.
He pulled up at the girl's house, noticing there were quite a few cars there still. Looked like the slumber party had a good turn out. He looked over at Steve, killing the engine and unbuckling his seat belt. He almost felt as nervous as he did on Grace's first day of school. But this was worse, Grace hadn't gone to school with any vampires.
