If Christine would have been able to focus on herself, she would have been nervous in this moment, but instead she had a crying baby in her arms that she was doing her best to console. Christine flitted around the living room in her Victorian style gown, bouncing Gustave gently and singing in a soft, sweet voice. She managed to glance over at the clock, noting that it was a couple of minutes after eight and that Erik would be turning up any second to have their talk. She needed to get Gustave to bed, but it just didn't seem like it was going to happen in time, so she sighed and took a seat down on the couch, cradling Gustave against her breasts.
Things were hard here with her being alone and trying her best to take care of both her son and herself. She needed support, maybe even needed a bit of a break, but she had no choice but to keep on, as tired as it made her. She wished for a moment that she could tell Erik the truth, that they could at least try to be together, despite what had happened in their past. It was strange, it was unhealthy she was sure, but Christine loved him, possibly more than she loved her husband.
