Caroline had been obsessing over every detail of this party since she'd had the idea. This place was strange, and no one seemed to be able to leave. There were so many people here. Some she knew, and some she didn't know. This slumber party was an effort to remedy some of that. If they were all going to be stuck here for awhile, seemed like a good idea for them to get to know one another. And if Caroline were being honest, she had been feeling kind of low the past few days, so this was something she knew would be fun and take her mind off of other things. She looked the food table over, one last time. There were a lot of options for anyone's tastes here.
She'd had to rework things a bit when she found out Grace was coming, but that was fine. Rebekah said she was the party planner of the century, so Caroline could handle it. She wasn't too concerned. She had everything meticulously planned out. She and Rebekah could probably never have been friends back home, but here it could be different. They all had common ground, they'd been ripped from their lives and thrown into this place. She hoped that would be enough to get people socializing tonight.
She was confused and unhappy about a lot of things, but Caroline realized she had a lot to be happy about as well. Bonnie was here. Elena was here and she was having a baby, with Damon. That was something that had shocked Caroline initially, but it hadn't taken her long to accept it. With any luck Bonnie's magic would help conceal Elena's pregnancy from someone who might decide to run and tell a certain hybrid. Caroline frowned at the thought of Klaus and looked over the dvd collection once more. The house was decorated, and she hoped that everyone would have an awesome time.
She hoped the party would be a welcome distraction from people's problems, especially her own. She missed her mother, she missed Tyler. She couldn't believe this was happening. But Caroline would keep calm and carry on, because that was just what people did.
