If he had to be transported to yet another place that wasn't home, Hazel was glad that he was here in a place that looked more like his home. Of course there were still houses around and men but it was much quieter than the city and the parks were less crowded. All in all it felt more like being on Watership Down. Then he had discovered that Lucy was here and that made things even better.
When he saw her coming toward him, Hazel grinned and when she threw her arms around him, he held her close. He'd become used to the human custom of hugging, finding it very pleasant and he held Lucy for a minute before letting her go. "I am so glad to see you!" he said as he stepped back. "I tried to get Fiver to come with me but he does not want to leave the house just yet. He does not remember New York but I do and I am not sure why that is the case."
