Tess couldn't help but laugh with the girls, she was glad she had brought them all. They knew right away that this was just not her thing. Grace on the other hand, was of course, in love with the dress. And was fighting past the urge to tell them all that they were wrong. Tess could see her inner battle and she grinned a little, walking over to give her a quick squeeze. "I promise whatever I pick, you will love just as much." The little girl grinned, a little mebarrassed that she knew how much Grace likes it. They walked to look at some others. Tess definitely wanted something a little less funky. She was definitely a whimsical person, but she could just picture a Barbie doll in that dress and it just wasn't gonna be for her.
"I do like the top part," She said. "Strapless with all the pretty shiny stuff. Shiny is good but feathery-curly is out." She ran her fingers along the bottom of another dress that was ore satin-y. It almost looked like a bed duvet, but she sort of really liked it. She grabbed it, as well as a couple others and went with the lady into the change room to try a couple on. She could wear them so people could see them, that would make selecting the dress infinitely easier than just looking at stuff on the rack. Once she had the first dress securely on, the saleslady helped her walk out, holding the train up off of the floor.
"I don't hate this," She ran her hands along the waist. "It's a little plainer than I was planning on but this bottom is fun." She turned a little as she looked in the mirror at it. "My concern is that if we get married outdoors and there's any wind, everyone will be seeing what God gave me." She wrinkled her nose a little at the idea. She was certainly a free spirit, but even that was a little over the top for her. "Do you guys like it?"
