Mary went to the door the moment she heard a knock; it wasn't polite, after all, to keep a guest waiting. She answered the door and pulled it open lightly, her gaze on the strange man she saw standing in front of her. Her features were polite enough: she smiled gently, giving Kirk a curious glance as she tried to interpret more about him just by seeing him in person.
"Captain Kirk, I presume?" Mary greeted gently, her British accent standing out as she spoke. She knew it wasn't proper for her to go out, accompanied by a man whom she'd never met before, but her choices weren't exactly wide here in Lincoln River. She had yet to meet many men, after all, and she didn't think it proper for her to go out first unaccompanied.
