Neither of them were normal, but that was fine. Elle didn't care. Normal was overrated anyway. It was better to be different, stronger. At least neither of them could ever be classified as boring. They were pretty far from it. And Killian seemed to accept Elle for exactly who she was. He wasn't trying to change her. She liked that. She'd tried to change before, for Sylar. She'd wanted both of them to have a better life. And it hadn't ended well. Maybe people like her just weren't supposed to get better.
He was teasing her, Elle was aware of that. But she could tease just as much. And she let him know that she thought he was being kind of cruel as she playfully shocked him with her mouth. He didn't seem to mind the shocks, in fact he seemed to like them more than most people did. And Elle didn't allow herself to lose control and risk seriously hurting him. No, the little blonde liked the pirate just as he was.
Elle couldn't help laughing out loud when he said maybe they should have dinner. She was well aware he was kidding. Elle was not the kind of girl that one took to dinner. And actually, she'd never been on a date, unless the thing at the mayor's gala with Thomas had counted. But they hadn't gone together, and they hadn't even stayed very long. There were a lot of things that Elle had never done. And she was working through a list here. But she didn't want date the pirate, so it was fine.
She moved, turning around so she was still on the couch, but actually facing him, and her hand sparked as she smirked at him. They both knew why she was there.
