Steve grimaced a little, shaking his head. "I'm not certain they do, actually. I was just mostly hoping there had to be some little heathens around." But he wasn't going to push that thought. He shook his head to Danny's comment. "Buddy, I think most of them just like getting naked. Even the ones that are doing it to make ends meet, you can't just walk into a room and take everything shy if you're, well, like you." He knew Danny would probably be the last person alive to attempt that sort of thing. And he didn't think anything less of him for it. He just thought it.
He listened to them talking about Tess and he smiled to himself, his thoughts drifting to Veronica. She was a warm, and soft place he could hide his own anxiety in. He felt safe with her. But he didn't bring that up, that was not his cup of tea. Instead he bought the next round for all three of them, passing Killian a fresh drink before finishing his second beer to work on the third one. He was happy for his friend, at the end of the day. That's what counted.
"Eh it's okay," He told Killian, his grin never really disappearing. "He can say what he wants, I know he's a big ball of sweet fluffiness deep down. He doesn't mean a word of it."
