Erik didn't have a clue in how to be a parent. He was sure that there was more to it then just giving the child what it needed, giving it signs of affection and holding it. There had to be more to it than that. He knew the type of parent he didn't want to be, but he had no basis for the type of parent he DID want to be. Which was why he had turned to books on parenting.
It was weird to be staying more and more often at Christine's. To lay in bed beside her as if he were the man he was married too and not Raoul. Is this what a simple, normal, happy life was like? Admittedly, this was the best he had ever slept--knowing she was by his side. Knowing that she'd be there when he woke up. He loved her--and by some miracle--she loved him and wanted him to be a part of his sons life.
He froze, shocked however when Christine began to touch him. They had never gone father than affectionate kissing. Working their way up to a romance. Erik had refused to try his powers of seduction on her anymore. It had ended up in disaster and if Christine was to really love him--he wanted her to love him and not the voice...not the things he could make her do with the voice.
