"I know it's possible." Thomas said. "I keep hoping." The problem was that Lara could come to Lincoln River just as easily. Or Lea, and nobody wanted that. The very thought of it made him twitchy.
"But, so far he's not here. Which means it's just you and me. And I'm okay with that too." He had lived a good chunk of his life without Harry, he could do it again. It wasn't easy, he knew that. Harry gave him focus, and something to strive for. He wanted to be someone Harry could count on, someone he could trust. For Harry as much as Justine, he wanted to be a good man.
"Was there anywhere specific you wanted to go today? Or just exploring, because we can totally do that too." Thomas had explored on his own, before Justine arrived, but he'd been looking for a way out, a loop hole, anything. He hadn't been looking for places he might want to visit, or things he might want to do.
