Justine grinned at being called my lady. It was certainly never anything she'd expected to hear when she was younger, and although she still wasn't really a lady in any sense of the word, Thomas made her feel like one. She felt her cheeks color a little, but didn't turn away from him. After all, nobody knew her better than he did, and she wasn't going to hide herself from him.
"Good. I'm getting terrible cabin fever. And I hear there's a park here? Maybe we can take a picnic and just sit and enjoy the sun for a while."
She saw the sadness - or thought she did - when he mentioned Harry, and it took everything in her power not to step forward and press herself against him, giving him what support she could. But she was only wearing a short-sleeve t-shirt, and the chance of her hair touching him, or of their bare skin touching was too much of a risk to take.
"Maybe he'll show up here? It seems that new people are arriving every day."
