home sweet home

Who: Jack, Bunny, and Bunny's parents (Beau and Shena, NPCs)
When: Noonish
Where: Digby house

It had been five days since Bunny had convinced Jack to come home with her. As she had predicted, her parents had been more or less okay to let him stay for a while. They had a finished basement in the house, and it had been no trouble to set up the basement den as a makeshift guest bedroom. After that, her parents hadn't really said much about it. Life seemed to be going back to normal. Bunny was talking to Cole again, and that was all for the better. Now she had to find a dress. And a girl to take Jack, because the idea of him staying home that night was just depressing.

After texting back and forth with Cole for a while, Bunny grabbed her hoodie and ran down the hall. "Mooooooooom, can you take me shooooppiiiiiing? I've decided not to kill Cole so I need a dress for hoooomecoooomiiiiiiiing!" It was then that she realized both her parents were sitting at the kitchen table, and she probably hadn't needed to yell all that loud enough for the entire neighborhood to hear. Her parents looked up at her, and Bunny frowned. Her mom was not getting up to get the car keys.

"Bunny, can you please go get Jack?" Shena asked, smiling faintly. "We need to all sit down and have a chat." Bunny twitched. She wasn't at all sure she liked the sound of that, but she turned and headed for the basement stairs.

"Jack?" she called, only walking down a few steps. "Are you up?"

I'm fabulous; you're fabulous -- let's date

WHO: Max & Niamh
WHERE: Landers home
WHEN: Early afternoon

The decision had taken some time to make. Naturally, his first instinct was to pick one of the members nominated for court. Angeline, of course, was at the forefront - good born were family (not wolf, but he wasn't getting married to her so it didn't matter as much) and a wonderfully political family - but there was the little Locke issue. Max still didn't trust the boy as far as he could throw him...which probably wasn't very far because the boy was big and tall. Not that Max had any foundation for his jealousy other than the fact that Angeline had said something about it. Nevertheless, they had both been nominated for king and queen and the opportunity to be get up there together and together could not be passed up. And Max couldn't stand in the middle of that. He respected the idea of high school royalty. His own brother would probably win the crown next year. If they all happened to survive until next year, that was. Considering all the bombings and the vampires and the insanity with the flowers and parks and poisoned berries, survival was still a crapshoot. Though he imagined Mason would be incredibly miffed if any of the family's lives were ended by fruit. The thought almost made it worth it. Almost, but not really.

For a night, at least. )

oh, the horror!

Who: Brian and Rowan
When: Nighttime
Where: the Berry Bucket

In whatever spare time Rowan had had to herself between school, hockey practice, and working two different jobs she'd been attempting to figure out glamor magic. And gotten absolutely nowhere. It was driving her insane, and the previous night she'd finally caved and asked her mother if there was any history of fae blood in their family. No dice. All that left was her dad's side - but there was no one on her dad's side to ask. Except... her dad. She wasn't sure if she was ever going to be that desperate.

Really, there hadn't been a lot of time to think about it. Free time didn't come up a lot anymore now that school had started, but Rowan was still actually kind of bummed about the Berry Bucket closing for the season. Of the two jobs (three, if you counted modeling for Whisper), this one had become her favorite. Joking around with Brian the whole shift made it go by fast, and actually made it fun. Who knew. She was kind of wondering if she and Brian would continue to be friends once the place closed for the season, but she wasn't about to ask - or even think about it in his presence. Rowan chained up her bike and headed inside, grabbing an apron and pulling it on over her clothes. "Gonna be a big crowd tonight, I guess. I don't like the sound of that 'decorated cars' thing. It's just asking for trouble."
