We're still here
Who: Cole, Isolde, Lilith & Niamh
Where: Hospital waiting room
When: Evening
"Am I done yet?" Cole had his feet up against the wall and was seriously debating whether or not he should make himself spin. It might be nice to spin around in circles while the man with the clipboard stared with his mouth open. Like he had done when Cole had tapdanced his pen out of his hand. That was probably why he was still here. Oh sure, they were talking about needing to make sure there was no radiation or lingering effects or any of that, but come on. What did they think this was, the X-files? They had undergone some hellish sort of thing - personally his had needed to be the worst, he had been stuck in a building with Angeline Moriarty - and now they were done. What more needed to be said?
His saying that it had clearly been aliens had not been appreciated by the man with the clipboard. He thought it was better than griping about watching his crush nuzzle up with his girlfriend.
"I can't determine anything wrong..."
Cole dropped his legs and bounced to his feet. "So I can go? Because my mom's out there and she hasn't squeezed the breath out of me enough yet since you whackos hauled me off here." He was getting frowned at and the pen - very firmly held now, he noted - was tapping furiously, but that was a nod and Cole was out the door. Out the door and straight to the extremely crowded waiting room. Not that it was too hard for him to pick his mother out. He was sure that she would stand out in the middle of hundreds of people. What he was not so sure of was whether or not those were his sisters right by her or just really rude people with no concept of personal space. Freeze 'em, mom. Just thinking that made his throat tight. There was his mom, and she was very good at making him feel better even if she had no idea what was wrong.
The blue-haired teen snaked his way up next to her and nudged her shoulder with his. "Hey mom. Can you believe those guys? I mean, they didn't even laugh at my alien joke! They're as bad as the priest."
