I am what I am
Who: Luke and Gabriel
Where: Bubba's Sulky Lounge
When: Evening
It was a bit quiet at Bubba's for this point in the evening. Being that it was the full moon and all, and the weres weren't out - or weren't out drinking, anyway - that should have made sense, but Luke never paid attention to things like dates and phases of the moon. Why would he? Nine times out of ten, it didn't matter to him anyway, and the important ones still had a way of cropping back up whether he wanted them to or not. Plus, he was actually working. For Luke, that wasn't saying much, but he made for good entertainment when the patrons weren't asking for drinks.
Like right now, for instance. "It's too quiet in this place," he grumbled, to no one in particular, coming up to the jukebox in the corner. He didn't have change to put in it, but if you gave it a hard enough kick, it would play a random song. He didn't know why, it had been broken like that since he'd gotten Bubba's and he'd never bothered to have it fixed. So Luke slammed it with all his might, and sure enough, something started to play. Fine by him, and Luke started dancing his way back behind the bar. "What?" he asked one of the bartenders, who was rolling his eyes at him. "Ain't no use in acting like we're already dead." Luke paused, "Well, you know. Some of us." Because technically speaking, it wasn't like Luke was alive and breathing anymore.
He didn't linger on the thought, but just started headbanging and singing along. Who cared if he was the only one having a good time?
