Sam's reply left Jo wondering whether she would be forcing him to let her draw him or not. The strange way in which he had put his response didn't make it very plain whether he wanted to do it, and for a moment Jo sat there blinking, trying to think of ways to make him understand his consent was paramount to anything she asked him to do. "Um, I do but only if you want to." She had a feeling this would change nothing, but Jo didn't know how else to put it. "It's not an obligation, I'm not demanding you to."
If Jo had known Sam was seeing in this gesture that she was trying to get rid of something she didn't like, she would have quickly tried to set the record straight. She just wanted him to have something he had been so taken by, the outcome of a little gesture he might not be used to. Giving him a genuine smile, Jo nodded. "Yeah, really! I'll draw you again, you're not going anywhere." She didn't mean right now just...in general, hopefully. Without waiting for him to take the sheet Jo placed it gently on his lap. "Here. I signed it and put the date, if I'm ever a big artist you can claim you have a Jo Summers original and it will be worth a lot of money!" She was mostly joking, but couldn't help imagining it for a moment.
