It was a huge relief when Julian echoed Lotti's sentiment -- she could be headstrong all she wanted, but the fact of the matter was that he was still dominant, and she wasn't really looking to outright defy him! No, she wanted things in her pack to be smooth and everyone to get along as much as possible. Sometimes her friendliness got in the way of that, but luckily that wasn't the case right now. When Julian touched the middle of her back, she took a half-step into it, showing that she understood. He was just trying to protect her, and maybe she shouldn't have dashed over. What was done was done, though, and she just looked up at her towering pack-mate with a smile. Focusing back on Sam, Lotti tilted her head to the side, her curiosity getting the better of her. "Why can't you?" And then he said he was looking for someone. "Oh. Well, we know the area and the people pretty well." Lotti waited, thinking that Sam would just come right out and say it. When he lifted his gaze to them, holding eye contact just for a moment, Lotti's face sort of fell.
Glancing up at Julian with her frown still in place, she shrugged a little again. This was Omega behavior, sure, but it was more. More submissive. The Omegas that Lotti had encountered didn't act this way, to this degree. And not really so much out in public. Dominance was still observed and respected, but...this man looked like he would stick out in a crowd even if nobody approached him, if only just for the way he acted. Trying again to meet Sam's gaze and settling for looking at his face while she spoke, she made sure there was a smile in her voice. "If you tell us who you're looking for, I know we can help. And if we don't know the person, we definitely would know how to find out." Because really, the thing that she wanted to do most was give this other wolf a hug -- he was so sad! Probably not the best thing to do right now, but she'd keep it in mind. For later, if he stuck around. Was that the wrong kind of behavior for someone who was more dominant?
