This face in my dreams seizes my guts
Who: Regina and Clive
Where: At his place
When: Early morning
When Regina woke up, she had tears streaming down her cheeks. She felt so alone, so abandoned, it was physically painful. She felt guilty, too, as if people leaving her all alone was her own fault. Only once she began trying to move did she fully realize she had been sleeping; whatever she had seen and felt did not seem like a dream, but it had to be, because she didn't know those names, that had not been her voice, and her loss had been quite different. She remembered dreaming about it too, but that was nothing out of the ordinary; she'd had similar dreams ever since she'd had to leave.
It took Regina a good while to calm herself down and fully assess that those feelings weren't hers. Even though her heart felt like it was being squeezed and stepped on, and even though her stomach felt like it was in a knot, this had not been her in the dream she'd just waken up from.
It still did nothing for how cold, alone and abandoned she felt. And then there was the distinct feeling that this had been someone real, someone she needed to help and protect. This was one of her charges she had dreamed about. That had never happened before. That was not part of her powers, either. Somehow, however, this dream had come to her, had snatched her up into it and made it feel like her own, and Regina needed to help.
Because she didn't want to be alone and because he knew plenty of teenagers, Regina knew there was only one person she could go to right now. Still quite groggy and shell-shocked from her dream she didn't stop to check the time before she got dressed and ran out of her apartment, intent on knocking on Clive's door until he answered.
Which was exactly what she did.
