You'll rescue me, right? Who: August, Aurora and Bubbles Where: The park When: Late afternoon Warning: ...undetermined, but Bubbles is involved
When it got humid outside, Aurora liked to think about rain. Then she liked to hope that another thunderstorm would be on the way so that she could have a really good day. They were all good when she was around her family, but they were just that much better when it was storming. She imagined that even if she had not shared a psychic bond with Aetheria then she would have enjoyed them just as much since she was an air elemental. Every now and then she wondered if the other elementals had weather events that they could bond with their family members over. Did fire elementals like to go and watch volcanoes explode or forest fires rage? She could not even start to think about what earth elementals would do. Water elementals probably liked the rain too. They have good taste. Satisfied with that thought, Aurora tugged at one of her cake earrings and stopped walking. "Neveah, which way is it to the park?"
'You're going the right way. Just stay to the right and you won't run into anyone.' Neveah was flying a ways above and ahead of her, once again interrupting her preferred sleeping hours to look after her elemental. 'Why are you by yourself, even?'
That was a good question and Aurora frowned for a moment as she tried to think of the answer. "I... wanted to go to the park, I'm dressed and I'm able to go if I want. No one told me that I couldn't." Her smile returned and she started to hum to herself as she just enjoyed the feel of the light breeze as she walked. Even the sounds of other people were welcome and she kept a bright smile on her face for all of them, offering a 'hello' whenever anyone said anything to her. Neveah kept telling her which way to turn until eventually she was in the park. The sound of cars faded to be replaced by the sound of leaves and more people. Aurora was about to ask if there was a swingset or something nearby when Neveah called out a warning that there was a dog coming. The air elemental paused and jumped a little when she suddenly felt a tongue licking at her leg. Then, despite what Neveah was saying about her not knowing a single thing about this furry creature, Aurora dropped down to her knees. "Hello," she greeted the dog happily, giggling when a tongue lapped over her face followed by a whine. "Aren't you so sweet!" Delighted, she could not remember the last time she had been able to spend time with a dog and she did miss Cookie Dough-Silvia terribly, Aurora wrapped her arms around the stout-bodied dog and lifted him right into her lap. For his part, the dog seemed to be delighted with the attention and kept licking at her face with his tail wagging.
'I think his owner is coming for him. which is good because I don't think you can take him home.' Aurora pretended not to hear that last part.
