He couldn't believe it was trickery.. Date: November 29th 2005 Characters: Matthew Stebbins, Neville Longbottom, Harry Potter (others) Location: Wherever Matt is detained Private/Public: Privat-ish Rating/Warnings: R.. violence and such Summary: Matt is found but not before it's nearly too late.
Matthew had gone through one hell of a weekend. First, he had been abducted on Friday and beaten until he nearly passed out. Saturday had started nicely, almost, until Alecto showed up and remained in his room all day, beating him both physically and magically. Matt had not really suffered at the hand of the man who was with her but he seemed to be her superior in some way because she showed him a level of respect he had rarely seen before.
Sunday had proven to be harder, on top of Alecto there was Neville too. At first, he just couldn't believe that Nev would find him and leave him there, there was just no way. The way Neville spoke to him, the mean words and the overall composure of 'Neville' had left him believing it wasn't him. However, 'Neville' came back twice after that, sitting beside him and simply looking at him. Matthew was too exhausted to even answer when his 'boyfriend' talked to him. He was mostly chatting away, explaining a bunch of things including why Matt was there in the first place. It didn't make sense to him that his fiance would agree to marry him only to turn his coat and do this.
It was now Monday and Matthew had not slept at all since the previous day. When they say that the night is often bearer of advice or to mull things over before doing something harsh.. Unable to do anything about this situation, Matt had remained on the floor, crying silently.
"Matt? Matt, by Merlin, are you okay?" His boyfriend's concerned voice resonated in the room, making him clench the thin wool blanket on the floor. "Oh damn, what have they done to you!" 'Neville' approached Matt and carefully wrapped his arms around him but even if it was carefully done, it brought a world of pain to Matt who's back was slashed open at many places.
Just as suddenly as 'Neville' had burst in the room, Matthew was on his feet, the larger man holding him up. "Matt, I'm so sorry.. I would have come sooner but.. you know how works gets sometimes, right?" The Neville before him said, looking very sorry indeed as their lips touched, but there was something wrong.
Pulling away, Matt stared at the fake Neville in front of him, not quite sure if he was real or not. "Matt, babe, what's going on? I'm so happy to see you.." 'Neville' said softly before kissing Matt again. It just has to be Neville.. My imagination doesn't feel that real! Kissing back, he grabbed 'Neville's' shirt and found himself back against the stoned wall. He let out a pained scream, tilting his head back. The man holding him took advantage of this moment to kiss his neck, sending a bunch of mixed signals to Matthew until..
Matt gasped, his eyes widening and 'Neville' pulled back, smirking. "He'll be the very last thing you'll see before you die, Matthew.." Matt, shaking like a leaf, feel back on the floor, blood running out of the gash Alecto had made to his inner thigh with a large, Muggle kitchen knife. That should teach the Blood Traitor.
