Summary: Sarah was expecting to start her afternoon off with a quiet lunch. But things have a habit of not going according to plan....

Sarah glanced around the familiar great room of the well-worn pub, sipping from the mug of cider she'd ordered - the start of October had put her in the mood for all things apple - and observing the other patrons as she waited for her order to come. She'd worked the morning shift at the book shop and she was off for the afternoon so she'd thought that she'd grab a bite to eat while she contemplated her options for the rest of the day. She supposed she could head out to Devon and see her parents, or perhaps get her camera and head somewhere for a bit of quality photography time...the sunlight was awfully beautiful today. She might even venture into Muggle London; it had been awhile since she'd spent any time there and she'd always enjoyed it. For a brief moment, the thought of looking Terry up flickered through her mind, but it was quickly dismissed. He'd surely have plans, and besides, she wasn't exactly sure where he lived nowadays, so she'd be hard pressed to find him.

Stop mooning about, Fawcett. Get a grip on yourself.

Just as she finished giving herself a mental talking to, she sensed someone approaching her table. Expecting the waitress with her fish and chips, she looked up with a polite smile, only to find someone very different standing nearby.
