The non-coffee drinking Zabini was quite happily to be slowly waking up with a cup of tea at the Ravenclaw table when he was rudely awakened by a package being dropped by an owl. At first, Romeo thought the owl had delivered it to the wrong person by mistake so he was more annoyed by the fact that his toast had nearly been squashed.
Picking it up, though, he saw his name written on the sensible brown paper in a rather glitzy green ink. When he turned it over, he had never been more horrified by the letter E. It was the magazine, he thought, heart suddenly in his throat. Oh, Merlin. He'd nearly forgotten about this - the only thing he'd put in his planner was a small green star, lest anyone else see it. Though what was the point in hiding it in his personal planner? Half the school would probably have seen the photos by the end of the weekend.
He slid the glossy magazine out of its protective envelope, the cover model pouting seductively up at him. It was one of the models from the shoot and, yes, she was wearing an AC Greengrass design - Mum would be delighted, then. Romeo frowned, though he was trying not to grimace in anticipation. What if they were awful? Or what if they'd decided he was a crap model and not published any shots of him?
Why was he getting so worked up over them not printing pictures of him? He was hardly a pretty boy like Da Costa or either of the Puceys.
Except he was definitely in the magazine. Looking surprisingly confident, actually, as the two models seemed to drape themselves over him. In one shot of him in the dressing gown, he seemed to be staring broodily off-camera. Thinking back, Romeo remembered trying to recite arithmatic formulas in his head so that he wouldn't be thinking about where Letitia was trying to put her hand. He didn't, however, remember the lipstick print on his bar collarbone. The bright red mark must have been added in afterwards.
Maybe, he thought a bit weakly as the photographic Letitia dragged her hand down photographic Romeo's thigh, reading Énchantrice wasn't fashionable anymore.
Judging by the way a couple of Hufflepuffs were staring across the Great Hall at him, that probably wasn't the case.
