"Well, that's a part of the job. It's easier when you have more, obviously, but the big challenge and thrill is when you don't. Or maybe that's just for me. I've had it both ways, and this- this make a difference." Spencer felt almost embarrassed to be talking about it, and even more so when Alyssa touched her and called her a friend. "Th-thank you," she said quietly, giving her a quick smile.
"We're working on that, thank God. The coffers can't take another hit. And if we can teach them to control their powers, we can use them much more effectively. I hope they do feel bad, or else they'll never let us teach them."
Spencer moved to the door when Alyssa stood, settling a hand on the knob. "I- I would like that," she answered quietly.
