She put the drink down on the railing when Ty spoke. "No, that's not necessary, Tyler," Becca interjected, defiantly. "She saw someone on the Sunset and if things persist, I might have to take her to Maggie, but you don't need to help pay for that. I've got it covered." Becca was not well-mannered, so she often forgot the polite responses that other people coughed up at the drop of a hat. But she appreciated Ty's generosity, so after a minute, she added: "It was nice of you to offer though."
Ever the mother, Becca focused on Tyler's intentions and what he had accomplished in the end. "We can all play the shoulda coulda woulda game. If I hadn't taken Lily out that morning, she might not have been grabbed either, but the important thing is that you fixed everything," she told him with a rueful smile.
