"Good enough," he finally allowed the smile to spread. Danny pulled the door open wide enough to let the boy pass, but never gave him time to do so. Temporarily disregarding the possible awkwardness between them, Danny stepped closer, scooping Matty into a tight embrace, lifting him off the floor, wine and all, and gave him a spin. His normal greeting for female friends, but Matty was certainly light enough to be lifted. "Welcome home," he beamed, honestly happy to see the young man. Making sure Matty's feet returned safely to the carpet, he released the poor boy, leaning to close the door behind them. "Glad to be back? I'm surprised you didn't go pass out. I bet you're exhausted."
