It had been quite some time, and Jude was still stuck in the hospital. Generally, she loved being in the hospital. Mostly because she was on the other end of things. She'd spent a good portion of her life in a hospital, being the one that came to check on the patients. When you were one of the patients, with absolutely nobody to come visit you and keep you company, time dragged on a lot and you started to feel really lonely. It was times like this when Jude really wished that she did have a family. Someone who could come and sit with her, make fun of the male nurses with her. Just ... she wished she had someone so that she wouldn't be sitting here, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, just staring at the ceiling. It was starting to depress her, and she didn't need to be in a depressed mood when she finally agreed to let the doctors give her some painkillers.
Flipping through the channels on the television, Jude sighed, turning off the tv and tossing the remote onto the table next to her bed. She picked up one of the many books that she had there on the table, but she had read all of them already, and she wasn't in the mood to read another one. What she wanted to do was make a trip down to the bookstore in the hospital and get something new, but the doctors told her that she wasn't allowed to walk on her new knee, not until it healed completely. Which, as Jude well knew, could take awhile. Sighing again, Jude leaned back against the pillows and rose her arms up, covering her eyes with them. She heard someone entering her room and she sighed yet again, assuming it was a nurse or a doctor. Who else would it be? "No, I don't need new pillows. No, I don't need any more painkillers. And no, I don't need anything to eat," she grumbled, without even moving her hands away from her eyes.
