Becca was fighting a losing battle between trying to stay calm and completely losing control of herself. She had spent the entire afternoon giving security her statement yesterday. As frustrating and slow as they seemed to be moving, she had thought they would at least put everyone on alert. Wasn't that their job? Wasn't a child being kidnapped some sort of red flag? She'd been up all night, sick with worry about what was happening to Lily. If her daughter was being fed, if she was crying, she had to be crying. Would these men hit her, or worse if they didn't get what they wanted. Now, this woman was standing here, asking if someone had pulled a gun on one of them?
"What the hell is wrong with this office?!" she screamed, throwing her hands up in the air. "I already told the man here yesterday! My daughter was kidnapped by two Russian men! One had a gun pointed at my back, and the other one grabbed her, tied her up, and disappeared. He called the one with the gun, Andre, and Andre threw me to the ground and put some almond-scented rag over my mouth that made me pass out! What is going on around here?" She shrieked, but she couldn't go on any longer. She broke down in a fit of sobs, sinking down to the floor. Link moved to grab hold of her, so she wouldn't hit anything and looked up at his mother helplessly.
