Becca had practically run to security that morning after chatting with Pip over the staff journals. She hadn't had a moment's rest since Raife had walked her back to her cabin the previous night. At first, she had tried to hold onto the assurances that the two Russian men wouldn't hurt her child as long as they got the person they wanted. But by 3 AM that hope began ringing hollow. Becca couldn't think straight. She wouldn't eat. She wouldn't do anything but think about her daughter's kidnapping and how she had stood by and watched with a cold piece of metal pressed against her back. Her hair was a frightful tangle of blonde knots at this point, as she had been tugging at it through the night.
She was a bonafide mess, and she knew it. She was beyond caring though. All she could think of was finding out more information about Lily and her kidnappers. She was glad that Pip and that fireman were also coming to face security. She didn't think she could handle it alone. She was relieved to see Link standing outside the office door when she got there, wringing his hands and looking frightened to go in.
