• What do you consider your greatest achievement? Coping. Getting into the NYC Ballet is impressive?
• What is your idea of perfect happiness? Not being afraid anymore.
• What is your current state of mind? A bit worried, mainly about Christine and the Full Moon. I’m…trying to get over it. I’ve got plans. Really.
• What is your favorite occupation? …in general or what I wish I had? I’ve only ever danced or did some babysitting. Each has their plusses and minuses - I’d pick kids over these costumes it depends, really.
• What is your most treasured possession? I’ve never really held onto things. I always end up losing or getting rid of them. A little while ago, I could have said my tape collection but I had to…get rid of that.
• What or who is the greatest love of your life? What? Skipping.
• What is your favorite journey? Again – is this one I’ve done or…otherwise? I like going to bed when tired enough so that I don’t dream. […] I’d like to go to London, but I’ve always like the beach.

A couple weeks after my father and I were picked up by the government. He was able to get out of work and we went on a small road trip, like we used to. It wasn’t the truck, because we sold it but…it didn’t matter, because we did what we usually did. There was a fair and we didn’t worry that evening. People didn’t tell us what to do or try and keep us tied to one area.
He …got out his fiddle and played. It might have been one of the last times he did so – he was tired after working in the factory, most days. There was a crowd – people danced or sang along, but mostly people were happy. Everyone was. There wasn’t anything to worry about. I don’t think I’ve really felt that way since.

• What is your greatest extravagance? I’m in an apartment I can barely afford on the 12th floor. There was a good deal at the time. Let’s go with that?

• Where would you like to live? Somewhere safe I liked Canada the few times I’ve been. Maybe on the West Coast the arts there are terrible.
