First, Vaughn. I guess I really have a tendency to give my female characters masculine names. Though, after having giving Vaughn her name, I couldn't imagine it being a male name now.
I originally chose it for her, because it was simple. I had been in the process of writing a short story, and the character's name was Vaughn. So I guess I was attached to it at that moment. I ended up changing the story after I began writing Vaughn, because there's no way that name will be linked with anything else now. After writing a strong character, I think I find it pretty impossible to recycle a name or PB.
Trenton; random!
J'aime. "I love." James. Pretty basic.
Nolan means "champion" or "chariot fighter". I originally was going to name him Noah, but then I rewrote the character and made him older, so I changed it to Nolan. As for Knox, I pulled it from Natural Born Killers, of course. In a tradition of that alliteration, his alias is Lee Laurent.
