Though he'd never taken advantage of venting to someone about personal things, Rook was sure it wouldn't help. It helped on occasion for minor things, little spats he had with Gabriel Ryan or Donovan, but since he didn't like talking about the very personal things going on in his life--particularly those romantic things--he was fairly convinced that venting wouldn't make him feel better. In fact, it would probably make him feel worse because it would force him to think about it and picture the worst case scenarios. That wasn't what Rook wanted or needed to be doing.
"If I tell you I got in a fight with Oberon will you just drop it?" Rook snapped, ready to walk away and not quite sure why he hadn't already. When Dax was being flat annoying, he'd never had any issue with it before, now he just...he didn't really know why he wasn't reacting like he would about anything else. Especially when saying he was upset because he got in a fight with his boyfriend just sounded so...silly. It didn't feel silly, but he was sure that it sounded that way. Maybe he should have kept the reason to himself.
