Instead of resuming his stance, Dax crossed his arms over his chest and studied Rook's face for a moment. He didn't believe that he was good. In fact, he was pretty sure Rook wanted to lose these fights and get the crap kicked out of him. Dax wasn't about that sort of thing, even on his own worst days. So he decided he was going to try a different tactic. Rook hated talking about his problems, especially when they were bad, but they were friends and friends were there for each other.
"Not until you tell me what's going on," he bargained, lifting his chin to prove he wasn't going to back down on this ultimatum. "What has you so distracted that you can't block a first year move like I pulled earlier?"
