Isabelle was having one of those dreams where everything felt real, but she knew it wasn't because of the slight haze around the edges. But it was a good dream. Jamie was teaching a little boy with blonde curls about the stars while she made fairy wings with the other two. This wasn't the first time she'd dreamed of their children, and though she could feel the night's breeze on her skin, she knew the chill was really from Jamie moving around next to her and taking the blankets with him.
She tried to snuggle closer to him without waking up fully when she heard the thud of a body hitting the ground. Coming fully and abruptly awake, Isa sprang to the edge of the bed. "Jamie! Are you okay?" She disentangled herself from the remaining blankets and knelt on the floor next to him to gently touch his lower back. "Does it hurt?"
