Cass was willing to try this, which automatically made her pretty great in his book, and even if they couldn't talk much during the climb, it was companionable. He loved the outdoors and he liked the puzzle of where to put his hands and feet.

After a while more of climbing and enjoying the view (in all senses), they reached the top, and Laurie helped Cass pull up over the edge onto the top of the cliff. He pulled himself up, and suddenly they were looking out over a spectacular view.
"Wow. This is pretty damn incredible isn't it?" he asked, his breathing a bit heavy as he put and arm around her companionably and looked out over the expanse.
