Severus caught Charlie's hand and led him over to the couch. Once they were seated next to each other, Severus wondered why he blurted out that particular piece of information. He knew his recreational smokes did not make him careless.
"Charlie, do not apologize. I would not have said what I did if...I..." for once he was having difficulty finding the correct words. Maybe it was because he was lonely, or maybe because red hair and green eyes were his big weakness. "Every House has its traditions for end of year. The upper forms can be a bit unpredictable with their entertainments. When I was a student, the Head of Slytherin was not very observent. We made a game of sneaking out and doing some very foolish things."
Severus shook his head, he could not believe he was trying to apologize for his past. "What I am trying to say is that one should never, ever, under any circumstances indulge in a drinking game that involves dares. Especially if they are playing against Lucius Malfoy or either of the Lestrange brothers." He leaned over, softly kissing Charlie then released his hand. He sat back and hoped he was not showing any vulnerability in his expression.
