SEVERUS SNAPE CONFIRMED AS HOGWARTS HEADMASTER

BY: RITA SKEETER

Severus Snape, long-standing Potions master at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, was today appointed headmaster in the most important of several staffing changes at the ancient school. Following the resignation of the previous Muggle Studies teacher, Alecto Carrow will take over the post while her brother, Amycus, fills the position of Defence Against the Dark Arts professor.

β€œI welcome the opportunity to uphold our finest Wizarding traditions and values,” the new Headmaster has announced to the press, β€œin hopes that they will continue on through future generations.”

A man of conviction and high morals, Severus Snape has turned his back on what was once his lifelong dream of teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts in order to fill the position left by the untimely death of Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, of recent biographical fame. When asked how his mentor and former employer would respond to this recent promotion, Snape responded with a solemn, "No comment," dark eyes misted over with the sadness of his loss.

The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore is now available at a bookstore near you.
