Paul considered briefly. There were several, varying ways he could use to calm James. Some quicker than others, some more pleasant than others. In the end, he opted for merely hauling James bodily into his lap, holding him firmly, and kissing him soundly.
Giving him something to focus on. Something warm, solid, present. Something now. Something to take the nervous energy and transmute it to something a deal more positive.
