Jonas had known the announcement was coming, but he still cringed inwardly when it was announced. He may be an extrovert, but that level of attention was, he felt, unnecessary. He just wanted to get on with his job and serve the community.
He had to admit that the thought of being Acting Sheriff was terrifying him slightly, but he was finding that working on Bill's disappearance was a welcome distraction.
Pushing off against a post, he whistled Digger to his heel once all the announcements were out of the way.
