Caroline gave him a real smile this time with his words. Yes, she had always considered the two of them friends, but hearing it from him, especially after everything he had been through, meant a lot to the blond vampire. It solidified their united front in his strange world of reality television even more so than before. The feel of his hand, cold, but comforting on her back, gave her a bit more courage too. They could do this; they had to do this. If they gave up, they would never get home. No, they had to fight like they always fought. Just like they fought Klaus and the Originals and everything else fate had thrown their way. "Alright, let's get out of here for a bit", she replied. Oddly, her voice came out stronger than before; thank goodness for friends...thank goodness for Stefan.
It was rather cool outside, but Caroline's body was always cold and it was immune to change no matter what the weather held for her. It could be snowing and she would not be cold, wet yes, but not cold. It was one of the things Caroline learned vampires were immune too, but most other things humans faced still applied. She still felt pain, even if it was brief, and her emotions were still liable to be crushed, bruised, or wounded at a moments notice. However, she was not little girly Caroline Forbes anymore. She was different. Though being a vampire wasn't easy and was certainly not her choice for the rest of her life, it had taught her a lot about herself and the person she wanted to be. You could even say, weirdly, that being a vampire had made her more sensitive to her friends' feelings, problems, and helped her understand more. Tyler had changed her too; she stuck by him during his first transformation because she didn't want him to be alone, like she was, when she first became a vampire.
Her blue eyes reflected the lights on the street, the bustle of the London crowd, and the city around her. It was rather beautiful, enchanting really, and if she hadn't been pulled here against her will and just lost Tyler and didn't know the outcome of her friends, she might have enjoyed herself. All those things, however, put a damper on any excitement or joy she could find in this beautiful place. She glanced over at Stefan briefly; no doubt he was feeling the same way she was. "So, anything look familiar?" she asked, trying to keep her voice light.
