WHO: Stefan & Caroline WHAT: Team Emotional Vampires goes in search of booze because they have too many feelings. WHERE: Lobby, then around town WHEN: Night of the 3rd RATING: low STATUS: in progress
Stefan had been in plenty of strange and stressful situations in his life; he had this special trait that apparently made him attract that kind of crap like a moth to a flame. This was a time when he really wished he could just be a normal vampire though, not one that was extremely in love with a magical doppelganger who was the prey of the group of the very first of his species. Maybe then, Elena would still be alive... No, she was alive back home, she had to be because a future without her was too bleak and dark for him. He'd had enough of that kind of thing already in the aftermath of Klaus' arrival to their small town.
There were so many 'if's and 'but's swimming in Stefan's head right now and he'd kept replaying that moment in his head when he'd arrived at Wickery Bridge and seen that Matt's truck had gone over into the water. It wasn't like the first time, when he had saved Elena at a dying father's urges. No, his heart had clenched in his chest in fear--he knew Elena, she wasn't just a stranger, she was the only woman he loved. God, he couldn't let himself believe that the moment they were in her room and he kissed her sweet, soft lips was the last time.
His green eyes went blank where he leaned against a wall in the lobby of the apartment building, playing with his ring and attempting to push back the anger and anguish bubbling up inside of him. He really needed that drink. The feel of something strong burning its way down his throat would ease the ache if only for a little while.
