When Max had asked what sort of activities Higgs had done as a kid, his first answer had been 'running' and the second had been 'quidditch', closely followed with 'hide and seek'. These, it turned out, weren't quite the sort of things Max had meant. Then, when Higgs had explained that the Higgs kids had just been very active and their parents had often taken them places to spend that energy, he thought of playgrounds. Swings and slides (and more running). It probably wouldn't have occurred to Higgs, had it not been for the way Chloe randomly just appeared to chat at him and drink juice. She'd mentioned Arran taking her to a playground for adults, and once Higgs had established that she didn't mean a sex thing, he realised that he could take Max there, too.
There were, in fact, slides and swings and those huge pits filled with plastic balls that Higgs had loved a a kid because he could just throw balls at Arran's face for ages. Now, Higgs was sat on the side of it, feet dangling into the plastic like he was at the side of a pool and the balls were water. "So are you enjoying this, darling?" Higgs teased giving Max a smile when he came to join him. It was... interesting. The experience. It wasn't something Higgs felt he wanted to do regularly. "Do you think it says a lot about my brother and his wife that they thought this was an excellent activity to go on?" And they hadn't even had the reason of re-living things you didn't get to do as a child. Given, Arran probably had enjoyed not having plastic balls chucked at his face. Then again, he had gone with Chloe, so that might've still happened.
