Everyone, I need your help. This is really important to me. It's not life-changing at all but it could be, depending on the turn out.

What's a good breakfast place here in Vinter or in Tromsø‎?

I do love how bones can never lie. How disappointing that people are not the same.

So many murders this time around.

If you ask me, Yitterdal only got what he was asking for. But the bad press is not good.

It's been awhile since I've said anything. It's probably because I haven't had much to say. I've been studying up on Angels, and that has kept me busy. I have not lost my passion for the species, so that's good. Other than that I'm considered officially healed from the events in April that I still have nightmares about. Yesterday, I had my cast removed. It feels weird without it. I was given a list of exercises to do to help, so I have to remember to do them.

I'm worried about my brother, but I guess I shouldn't be. He can take care of himself. I just hope he won't go completely silent again. I do wish he would have gone home. Or let Lachlan see his sister. If the roles were reversed, I would have wanted to see my brother at least once.

This post has been a lot about nothing, but now I have a purpose. I've never really had to cook, and right now I'm living off of pre-made meals, which frankly aren't that great. And I'm getting sick of eating the same meals over and over again. And I think I've gained some weight. If someone has the time to teach me a few dishes to break up the food monotony, I would greatly appreciate it. I will be happy to do something for you.

It only makes sense that the first thing a newly arrived man should do is to introduce himself to everyone. Obviously, that's not what I did. After the re-orientation, I was occupied by arranging for accommodations and getting lost in Landvik. And when I thought I could finally sit down and make this entry, I decided to go to Tromsø. Before I knew it, two months have gone and this introduction is long overdue.

So now I'm getting right on it. Hello, everyone. To those of you I haven't yet met, my name is Robert Baker. I'm the new researcher for the Witchcraft Crimes Unit although I am by no means green in this job. I completed my training back in London, England being my home country, and only decided to pursue the rest of my career here in Landvik.

That's pretty much the long and short of this. If there's anything at all I can do to help you, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at robert.baker@landvik.no or ring me at +47XXXXXXXX. I also highly encourage touristy suggestions. Hopefully ones that don't require knowing the language as I haven't gone beyond "Jeg snakker ikke norsk" yet.

I suppose this might seem a bit superfluous in this academy and though some of you might not enjoy spending time together, I was wondering if I could interest any of you in a possible book club? I was reading in my favorite cafe the other day and I thought to myself, 'My! It would be quite lovely if I had some friends to discuss this piece of fine literature with,' and though I did try the internet, it seems that the majority of message boards are populated by [...] 'trolls'? I fear I am unfamiliar with the term! Nonetheless, not very many of the conversations proved productive -- in fact, they seemed primarily populated by clever pictures...

Ah, yes, back to the topic at hand! So, a book club. Would all you dear lovers of the written word out yourselves for a possible bi-weekly meeting? I know you might not want to spend additional time with some of your co-workers, but it could be nice to also do some socialising outside of the office. I do humbly offer my own living quarters for the majority of the meetings, and I look forward to possibly serving dinners & teas to those who attend.

[FILTER: Roza]
I quite enjoyed our little tea date, pet. Shall we have one again sometime soon?
[FILTER: Angels]
Do you suppose the Bible might be a bit too heavy a piece of work for the first few sessions of Book Club?

Being in a state of healing means there's a lot of time for thinking, and I've been doing a lot of that lately. Among the things I was thinking was the idea of holding a vigil for those who have passed, out of respect and thoughtfulness for them. However, on one hand, it's a way to say goodbye, and on the other, it may be a prime opportunity for someone -- or several someones -- to strike.

Of course, it is just an idea, so shoot it down if it's awful. Thoughts?

The oddity of my own post-mortem lethargy has had me buried up to my eyeballs in poetry- during the times I'm not doing the bare minimum of productive work, admittedly.

I honestly think I've been here for hours. Just reading. Not particularly desiring to do anything - not particularly needing to. Motivation is slippery. I desire nothing other than to talk to her and I think that's alright. Not always. But for today- maybe.

Think you could spare a few words in my direction?

Right, well. It's cold as fucking balls up here and my fingers are about to freeze off, so I'll make this brief. Kara Brunswick, vamp, new transfer up from the Salem Academy. I ran FCU there. Not really sure what else you guys need, but ask and maybe I'll answer. Less cryptic than it sounds, really. I'm just shit at this small talk thing.

And don't touch the Ducati in the garage. She's mine.

Not for nothing, I think someone should have a word with the local newspaper about their content, I mean they really shouldn't print things like that. Still, I wonder if they'd be willing to provide the source (or sources), if we visited with a warrant.

I never saw the death of an employee coming. Maybe I should have, but not so soon. I'm so sorry for anyone who knew her. When is the funeral?

This is ridiculous. Bomb threats? Are we in America or something?[<-deleted after Ferdinand's comment] makes me want to transfer back to Germany

I know you don't like me and I could care less. But is this the kind of place you take my sister? I at least made sure that Dru only had a good life without care.

I'm glad there are some who were only injured. A fire is an awful way to die. Burning alive or choking to death Jesus

That poor kid. Does Maggie wonder about her parents or is Lucretia explaining things to her? Like Agnes Gyldenløve must be with her grandson.

Goddamn it.

[ filter: public ]

Who's still in with volunteering to help? Let's try to arrange something so we're not all going out at the same time. I intend to go out on Wednesday afternoon and could take a couple of people with me. I intend to visit Agnes Gyldenløve in the morning if she'll receive me.

i have a new place to hang out. :]

it's- well. i found some of those cheap plastic eggs out in the hallway.
i think they might have fallen out of a basket? one had a sweet-tart in it (!) anyway, i've been staying in there. so if you see any green plastic eggs lying around- don't expect candy. it's probably just me.

has anything good happened to anyone else recently?

It's official: I've been thirty-three for a week, and now I'm really feeling like an old lady. One day, I'm going to throw out my back, and then who will give Rex love? Who will let Andy inside to hang around in my flowers? Who will squirt mustard into Rhys' face? I'm conflicted.

Now, old lady complaints aside, has there been any news on those missing activists? There hasn't been a single peep from the media, as far as I've heard.

Oh, and Happy Easter. ♥
