The doctor said that my ankle will be alright again in two or three weeks. I think that's good, considering that I have been unable to walk properly for the past four weeks. I suppose things are getting better... Hopefully the nightmares will get better, too. All the images of Evan, his death. I can't.

And if your father or your mother does a dishonourable thing, do you still honour them? If they've shamed you or God, are you still meant to honour and love them? Does God make exceptions for the rules, or do you honour them no matter their sins? I do have to say, out of all the Commandments, this is my favourite:

You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his manservant or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Don't pine for one's donkey, or God shall be most displeased for your greediness.

hello hello! it seems i'm coming in at a delicate time, so i'll make this short (but it may be not short). hello, i'm katya. ♥ but if we want to get all official, it's ekaterina, but call me katya or kat!! (i had a friend who called me yaya; it was weird.) i am so new, i have yet to take off the packaging! i'm a trainee in spectral crimes! i'm going to be a cleanser! i'm a faerie! i like fluffy things and hot chocolate with marshmallows and caramel drizzle! (this is not relevant; it was for my own benefit, and i'm so hungry.) i have two kittens named wilhelm and jacob! (but i call them wilbert and jake. jakey on a good day.)

As fellow deceased, how do you respond towards death around you? Do you feel an obligation to help? Have you ever saved a life before? On the other hand, have you ever watched someone die and purposefully not done anything about it? Are we meant to be mere observers, haunting and watching but naught else, or does our existence mean we are to do something?

I'm at a bit of a loss for words, as of late.

I believe I lost them when I heard someone very offhandedly tell me- sometime after the bomb threat, anyway- that I would "be alright" because I was dead already.

Just- no. I wouldn't. I don't even have enough words to say no with. I don't think she meant anything that serious by it- maybe she didn't think it through or something like that- but I could not even begin to express how not alright I'd be if such an event were to actually take place.

Losing Six was upsetting. She was valuable. You all are.

Like I said, I've been at a loss for words. Everything feels a bit like nonsense at this point.

Nothing like coming back from info-gathering and seeing bad news. God give rest to Emil's soul and let his son not suffer further loss. Though with the way things are, I don't think his mother ... Christ, this is depressing. Stay safe, my friends. Watch each other's back and keep your guard up even on Academy grounds. With the lack of evidence found, I'm not counting out anything.

Gotta wonder, and no intended offense to anyone, but how violent can spectres be? Can they do the damage that happened with Emil?

it's- well. i found some of those cheap plastic eggs out in the hallway. i think they might have fallen out of a basket? one had a sweet-tart in it (!) anyway, i've been staying in there. so if you see any green plastic eggs lying around- don't expect candy. it's probably just me.

I find it amusing that I have not met many Spectres who decide to be on the front lines. Only in certain cases will we be harmed, so why are there a lot of us who flock to research?

He was very angry. I don't think I've seen him this angry in a long time. I wonder if anyone noticed. I wonder if he noticed if I was there. Maybe next time I should give him is privacy. But I have to admit I like watching him work, as creepy as that sounds. I enjoy watching a lot of people in this academy, and I have been thinking about watching others outside these walls. It could be interesting. It would also pass some of the time.
