"I'm ever so glad you like it," she said smiling lovingly at her grown up son. She poured and fixed his tea just to his liking and set it in front of him, happy to see he had treated himself to the scones. She had made them herself for the first time in ages. She sat down on the cushion next to her son and crossed her legs at the ankles before fixing up her own cup, "No, I'm sorry darling you just missed him," she said sincerely, "He just ran out for a couple of errands. We'd love to have you around more, my dear. I won't lie about that. What have you been up, too that has been keeping you away from us?" she said teasingly.
