It was true, since she came to this island Narcissa had been the happiest she's been since Draco was born and most definitely since before their Dark Lord's return. Here her husband was his own and rightful master like the man she married and knew he could always be. Her sons were happy here as far as she could tell. Sure she missed the glamor of the socialite wizarding world but she would trade all of that for her family's happiness. Sure Narcissa was superficial, but her family had and will always come first.
"Great," she said, "I have all your favorites here in the living room," she said presenting the living room with a flair. She was quite proud of putting together the new Malfoy home all on her own with no magical help other than her own. She had to start from scratch so that meant not filling in space with old but beautiful Malfoy and Black heirlooms and tapestries. "I agree, those apartments were horrid, but I'm very glad you like the house. Some rooms are still a work in progress, but I'm very happy with how everything is coming together. It has been a great way to spend my time here. Please sit down and I'll pour you a cup."
