There was something so simple and nice about this--just living, not talking about vampires, or curses, or doppelgangers, just acting like a normal couple and blending into the crowds to escape their real lives for a bit. Elena was actually quite happy with how things had been going for them considering when that Klaus man showed up, everyone else seemed to be running around in terror. Sure, she felt sorry for them, but her number one priority would always be to keep her household safe and Stefan was at the top of the list. She didn't know when the next threat would ever show up here or what it would be, so Elena wanted to enjoy their time together as much as she could, that was why she said they should just relax today and do something fun. Have the entire day to themselves.
Elena had never actually been to an arcade before, she'd never had a reason, but seeing all the flashing lights and fun games when they stepped in kind of excited her and she felt seventeen instead of 236. She looked up at her boyfriend, the vampire pressed into his side, an arm around his lean waist. "I have no idea where to start," she admitted to Stefan with a soft laugh. But she knew one thing. She wanted Stefan to use all his moves to win her one of those big prizes. Maybe the panda bear. Or the tiger... God, when did she become so...carefree? This all seemed so silly, but she loved it! Her brown eyes flicked over the wall of prizes again and she pulled her boyfriend towards it, reading all the little cards in front of the items for the number of tickets they needed to win them. "So...basically...you spend a lot of money on games to win as many tickets as you can and then you get to pick your prizes?" The attendant behind the counter looked at her strangely when she spoke, but Elena ignored him. It wasn't her fault she was a two century old vampire.
