It was strange to hear someone calling her Peyton, but she supposed it was better than this creepy guy knowing her real name. She didn't want to obtain a stalker or something.
"Er, it's fine," she replied, uncertainly, shifting her shopping bags uncomfortably in her hands. "But, you know, I should really be heading off..." She really didn't feel like standing in the middle of the street to have a chit-chat conversation with some guy with clearly questionable sanity. "Like you said, it's dark and my boyfriend will be worried," she said, putting particular emphasis on the word 'boyfriend'. She wasn't alone. People would be looking for her, so he better not try anything.
