WHO: Colette & Bastien thefrenchlord WHAT: Colette surprises the man with a nice dinner...and maybe more. WHERE: Their apartment WHEN: The evening of the 10th RATING: tbd STATUS: in progress
Colette might not have been used to the modern era with all it's contraptions, the fashion that definitely no longer included petticoats and tight bodices, or even the English language, but there was one thing that never really changed: cooking. Elena had helped her collect a few things for dinner and gave her the basics on operating the appliances. Colette caught on fast to things though, so it was rather easy for her to adjust to things. She wanted a hearty meal, French in nature to help remind Bastien of their home in Paris. For the first course, she was making lobster bisque--she wasn't exactly sure if Bastien was a big fan of seafood, but she figured if he wasn't, there was always he main part of the meal: a roasted chicken with lemon and rosemary. That was a safe bet, right? She'd spent a lot of time on it, preparing it for the oven and as she slid her pride and joy inside and set the timer, she let out a sigh of relief. Now...onto dessert since she still had time to spare for the bisque.
She decided on a chocolate torte with blueberry wine, pulling her curly blonde hair out of her face as she got to work on the dough, cutting up chocolate to mix in with it, her knife moving vigorously on the cutting board. She moved quickly and had it all mixed and poured into a man in a matter of a few more minutes, sliding it into the oven next. Pleased with herself, she leaned back against the counter and huffed, blowing some hair out of her face. She was a complete mess in the simple sundress she was wearing...but she figured it had been well worth it. Hopefully she would have some time to actually make herself presentable though. She didn't think she could stand the embarrassment of looking like this for Bastien, no matter how beautiful he might have though she looked.
