"I did," Ariel answered. "Actually, I gave it up willingly, but I didn't know all of the repercussions at the time." Hearing him ask how it had seemed he was interested, she smiled softly. "Well, you had taken me in and after dinner the first night, we danced. You sang a song to me about how dancing was it's own language and you didn't need words to say how you felt." She shook her head when he said he was sorry. "I'm glad you love my voice," she told him. "I was more frustrated with myself than anything. I had always relied on my voice, I didn't know how to express my feelings in any other way."
