Elena didn't move when she felt him get off the bed, the mattress springing up after he'd stood up. She kept her arm over her face, breathing steadily. "More to do here?" she said, sarcastically. "Damon... too much happens in Fell's Church." If there was much more chaos here than at home, they'd probably all end up dead for good. God knew they'd come close more times than she could name at home.
"You should show me around," she said after a moment, finally pushing herself up so she could sit and watch him pacing around. She didn't really know what she was doing - encouraging him or leading him on? - but she felt as though Damon was her only real ally here and she didn't want to lose him. They could be friend. It could all be very innocent. At least, that was what she tried to tell herself.
