Brooke didn't know what she'd done wrong. She couldn't even get a word in to tell him that she was sorry and she hadn't meant to upset him. She just hadn't wanted to talk about blood right then. She'd wanted to kiss him and cuddle and eat Chinese food. She just didn't think she was ready to actually discuss the blood. She knew it was obviously a part of every day life for him, but she was still getting used to it. But she was trying - really hard.
Brooke looked after him when he walked away, stunned into silence, her eyes wide and confused. This wasn't what she'd wanted at all. Quickly, she pushed herself up from the couch and ran after him. She caught him in his bedroom and grabbed his hand, pulling him back around to face her. In one fluid motion, she slipped her arms around his neck and pulled him down for a deep, emotional kiss.
